Beware

Beware! Green fruitworm is often a problem on young green fruit.
Green peach aphid will also attack plums, curling their leaves early in the season.
Mealy plum aphid infests the underside of leaves, causing premature leaf fall and atrophy of fruits.
The plum spur mite colonizes the branches and shoots. The red plum maggot attacks the fruit.
Oriental fruit moth can attack plums.
The American plum borer attacks the trunk and limbs.
Apple maggot will attack plums as they ripen.
White apple leaf hoppers are a problem late in the season. Stippling of the leaves is an indication of their presence.
Plum curculio attack the fruit soon after it forms and eat holes through the skin and feed on the pulp, usually next to the pit. The female makes distinctive, crescent-shaped wounds on the skin when laying eggs.

Vigilance!
